Salt and Clay is a project that aspires to bring people together to realize something greater than the sum of our parts. We a movement of individual consciousness that catalyzes community engagement. We are striving, together, to meet the great needs of humanity at this moment.

Salt and Clay views transformational experiences, whether it be a physically empowering hike in the Grand Canyon or a reflective conversation on a speeding train through lands unknown, as pivotal to engaging in your community consciously. Salt and Clay views guidework as the nexus of mentorship and management to catalyze transformation in individuals, groups and programs.

Our work entails researching and articulating excellence in guidecraft and developing programming dedicated to radical self-realization through effective guidework. In salt, we see an essential ingredient to life.
We are reminded of the taste that forms on our lips after plunging into the sea.
We recall the stains in the creases of our eyes after we’ve thrown ourselves into a hard pursuit.
When we look at raw clay, we see earth, ruddiness, malleability.
In fired clay, we see the touch of a human hand.
